i want good sound and would really like a little performance gain too. I am also looking for either a 40 or 50 series, whatever sounds best with split duals, but still want to hear my radio or talk to my girlfriend. Nice rumble, deep sound, and no ricy honda sound, quite in the cab?
#Flowmaster 40 series delta flow series
I am thinking of installing a flowmaster 50 series suv muffler on my 99 dakota 3.9-v-6.I only want a little louder than stock sound with not a lot interior resanonance.I am hoping for more power and a little more gas mileage.can anyone give me some info on this.
If your gonna dump your exhaust dump it before the axle so theres less bends on the piping What is the difference in 40 or 50 my dad got me 50s for my birthday I just cut my pipe and tip off and put a turn down right after the flowmaster and it is alot deeper and the sound is alot better cuz its not echoing Should i send the pipes straight out the back or to the sides im going to drop it 2 4 and get rid of the echo tip and turn it down thatswhat im going to do when i drop my truck this summer. if you have a droped dak the exhaust will echo off of the road and sound really good. TExas 97 if you put turn downs on your truck it will be almost as loud. What would the difference in sound be if I took off my 3.5 inch tips and put turn downs on right before the bumper? Anyone know? I would like to get that hidden look to it. BUT YOU KNOW WHEN I AM COMING FROMA MILE AWAY, even better with my 5" tips I have the 40 series on my 5 speed Dakota 3.9. Theres nothing like blowing the flowmaster in peoples faces as you drive by. ive got a 3.5 in echo tip on it to so its very loud. Ive got a 40 series delta flow on my 93 v6 and i love it. Looks great, sort of like the RT, and it purrs like a kitten. I just installed a Gibson sweptback single pipe cat back, with SS tip. No knock on Flowmaster, great product, but I found a better one for me. I have friends with Flowmaster, and while they are plenty loud, they aren't smooth to me. I have the 40 and wouldn't change it to another brand for anything.
Go with the 40 series Delta, the sound is deep and not too loud in the cab. I get it up into the higher rpm's alot, b/c of my stickshift, and there is no droning, just a good rumble. I got the 40 series Deltaflow and it sounds very deep and loud when I really step on it. It's been acting funny since I hooked up my remote start. I was going to get the Accel coil(not 300+ either) for my truck. I got it from Jegs it was direct hook up it fit in the same place as the stock coil. The Accel coil went out on me yesterday I thought it was the fule pump, my mechanic told me that the Accel coil wasn't any better than the oem coil I had on it. They are JBA headers I got them off ebay 94 V6 just a single exhaust 2.5. Did you get your headers right from JBA? You have a v6 right? Do you have dual 40s or does it go to a single muffler? I have a 94 v6 reg cab shortbox and am trying to find a decent exhaust. I have JBA headers and the Flow Master 40 series really a nice sound, Mine is a 94 X-cab not loud in the cab at all. but i can't say i have noticed more miles per gallon.
quite inside but just enough rumble outside to tell everyone you have a flowmaster. I have a 99 dakota ext cab, i love the sound of my 50 series single in dual out. The performance gain was very evident though. Its just a little louder than the stock with hardly any noise in the cab. I love it.Īiraid Cold Air, Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow, Lund Elite Bed Cover My wife can hear me before I get to our street. Sounds good all the way through the powerband.
Advice on what to choose will help me out a lot. I would like to hear from people that own them. Subject: Flowmaster 40 or 50?(Delta Flow)
